Our Vision is that mothers are equipped to move forward, are connected to community, and are shown the love of Christ.
What Do We Stand For?
We believe that a Christian maternity home serves not only as a safe refuge for women facing unplanned or difficult pregnancies, but also as a ministry to share the hope and truth of Jesus Christ. Its purpose is to demonstrate Christ’s love through practical care - providing shelter, counselling, life skills training, and support - while pointing women toward a personal relationship with Him.
MEET THE STAFF!
Sparrow Home is delighted to welcome Jenn Bennett as our Executive Director!
Jenn brings many years of experience serving women, families, and the community through Pregnancy Care and Donor Relations. She previously served as Executive Director of the Pregnancy Options and Support Centre, and trained boards and executive directors across Canada through Pregnancy Care Canada.
She worked as a Director of Development in Ontario with Focus on the Family Canada, where she connected with donors and shared the mission. Having lived and raised her family in Sarnia, Jenn has a deep love for this community and a heart for walking alongside women and their families with compassion, hope, and practical support. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve through Sparrow Home and is excited to see how God will use this next chapter to make a lasting difference in the lives of women and families.
Outside of work, Jenn enjoys spending time with her family and is a skilled chocolatier - bringing a little extra sweetness to everything she does!
We are especially thankful to the Lord for the answering of many prayers. We have trusted God to provide the right person to help lead Sparrow Home into this next season, and we are grateful for His faithfulness.
Where Are We Now?
Since we formed a steering committee in 2024, we have been doing extensive research and groundwork regarding a home for mothers in our community. We officially became the Board of Sparrow Home of Sarnia-Lambton, and are now a non-profit organization!
Goal to Open
Lord willing we will be able to open the home to mothers in early 2027!
